About The Position

Mt Olympus Rehab and Nursing in Salt Lake City, Utah, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide care for residents. This is a full-time night-shift role. CNAs work 8-hour shifts; night shifts run from 10 PM to 6 AM, and full-time CNAs work five days a week. The employer also offers part-time and PRN schedules. Full-time employees may access the listed benefits. Eligible employees who work part time or full time and complete their first 90 days may receive up to $500 per month before taxes through the Nursing Tuition Reimbursement program for nursing school; no contract is required.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA certification in good standing issued by the State of Utah.
• Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
• Be able to make decisions independently when warranted.
• Have knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures.
• Have a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Answer residents’ call lights to determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support with activities of daily living, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, and exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
