About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Omaha is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Certified Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care to patients during vulnerable stages of their recovery. This is a full-time, overnight position with 12-hour shifts in Omaha, Nebraska, paying $20.51–$25.00 per hour. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available for full-time hires. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field, such as medical assistant work or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, and help transporters move patients into and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Keep instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs clean.
Maintain patients’ rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
