About The Position

Sandy Health and Rehab is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant for night shifts at its skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in Sandy, Utah. The role supports residents receiving long-term and short-term care by administering medications in accordance with physician orders and resident care plans, maintaining medication supplies, documenting medication administrations, and reporting resident changes or concerns. The position works with a supportive care team and contributes to resident care and team operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.
• Read, analyze, and interpret basic scientific and technical information in English.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in spoken English.
• Perform basic math, including calculations with standard and weight measurements.
• Demonstrate empathy and strong customer service skills.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50–100 lbs. and assist with resident handling.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in environments with exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases.

Nice To Haves

• Long-term care or geriatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medication carts and supplies, monitor inventory, and reorder as needed.
• Accurately document medication administrations in the Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) system.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and resident care plans.
• Observe residents and promptly report changes, concerns, or needs to licensed nursing staff or appropriate department leaders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support resident care and team operations.
