About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee - West Allis is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Certified Nursing Assistants provide compassionate, excellent care to patients during vulnerable periods of recovery. The position is full-time on the night shift, scheduled 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The employer offers an extensive orientation program, career advancement and education opportunities, a clinical ladder program, health plan options, paid time off, and retirement and insurance benefits.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
