About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Omaha is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Certified Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care to patients during vulnerable stages of recovery. This is a full-time night position with 12-hour shifts in Omaha, Nebraska. Compensation is $20.51–$25.00 per hour, with a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for full-time employees. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of 3 or more years.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters with moving patients into and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
