About The Position

Pine Creek Rehab is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care for residents at its Salt Lake City, Utah facility. The organization describes itself as a close-knit group focused on providing residents with the best care possible and improving the lives of residents, their families, and staff. The role is offered on full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules. Full-time CNAs work three days per week, part-time CNAs work one to two days per week, and PRN CNAs work as needed or available. CNAs work 12-hour shifts; day shifts run from 6 AM to 6 PM, and night shifts run from 6 PM to 6 AM.

The employer offers a nursing tuition reimbursement program of up to $500 per month before taxes. Eligibility requires working part-time or full-time and completing the first 90 days of employment; no contract is required. Benefits are available only to full-time employees and include a 401(k) with company match, medical, dental, life, and vision insurance, and 12 days of paid time off.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA certification in good standing issued by the state of Utah.
• Communicate effectively on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
• Be able to make decisions independently when warranted.
• Have knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures.
• Have a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residents’ call lights and determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support with activities of daily living, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, and exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to help ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
