About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to support residents in its skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role focuses on helping residents with daily living, providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring health, and supporting recreational and therapeutic activities. The available schedule is a full-time weekend package from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
