About The Position
NorthCrest Specialty Care, a 94-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Waterloo, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). The role is part of a compassionate care team serving residents throughout their healthcare journey. The position offers a full-time weekend package with a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. schedule and a competitive hourly rate plus shift differential. The CNA supports residents with daily living activities, offers emotional support and companionship, communicates with residents, families, and the healthcare team, monitors residents’ health through routine vital checks, and encourages recreational and therapeutic activities. The CNA follows infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment. Requirements
- Hold an active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or have the ability to activate certification.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Have a compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Interact and communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help ensure a clean and safe environment.
