About The Position

UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support patient-centered care at its inpatient rehabilitation facility in Louisville, Kentucky. The 40-bed, CARF-accredited institute provides multidisciplinary rehabilitation services in specialties including brain injury, stroke recovery, spinal cord medicine, pediatrics, and movement disorders.

The CNA assists nursing staff with patients’ activities of daily living, offers emotional support, helps maintain a safe and comfortable environment, and collaborates with the care team to meet patient needs. More complex clinical tasks are performed under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing personnel. This is a full-time night position scheduled for three 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State Registered Nursing Assistant (SRNA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care certification within 30 days of hire and annually.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in an acute or long-term facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in providing patient-centered care.
• Support patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Provide emotional support and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure patients’ needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Perform more complex clinical tasks under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing personnel.
