Certified Nurse Aide - Skilled Nursing Facility
About The Position
The Certified Nurse Aide provides direct care to patients and residents, including hygiene and activities of daily living, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The aide performs direct-care activities that may be delegated to unlicensed personnel under the NYS Practice Act, applicable regulations, hospital policies, New York State Long Term Care Regulations, and Nursing Services standards. The role also includes unit and department support functions assigned by the appropriate Registered Nurse and/or manager. This is a bargaining union position at CVPH – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Facility in Plattsburgh, New York. The schedule is 16 regular scheduled hours and 32 biweekly scheduled hours, on the night shift from 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM, with every-other-weekend needs. Salary range: $24.46–$35.47 per hour, with a midpoint of $29.97.
Requirements
- High school graduation or GED equivalent must be obtained within two years.
- Completion of a New York State-approved Long Term Care training program and current New York State certification are required.
- Meet pre-employment screening and physical requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a nursing assistant is preferred.
