About The Position
The Certified Medication Technician (Med Tech) is responsible for the nursing needs of residents, while actively incorporating the "Philosophy for Person-Directed Care". This role ensures a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors, and encourages participation in the residents' daily life rhythm. The Med Tech develops assignments in coordination with care partners and holds each team member accountable for resident care and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Prior nursing experience: senior care, skilled nurse, post-acute or sub-acute care
- Experience with memory care
Nice To Haves
- Current Med Tech certification is a plus
- Current CPR certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provides resident care, including administering medications and documenting each treatment
- Maintain communication with doctors, laboratory, pharmacy, and residents' families concerning resident care
- Prepares shift reports
- Promotes and protects the rights of each resident
