About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Certified Medication Technicians to provide timely medical care to clients at its Eastern Shore residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. The role supports clients’ stabilization and participation in treatment while assisting with nursing shift duties, coordinating care with medical and clinical teams, managing medical supplies, arranging appointments and aftercare, and handling pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations. The posting invites applications for part-time and full-time positions on evening and overnight shifts.

Requirements

• CPR certification.
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in Maryland.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of substance use and its biopsychosocial consequences.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment.
• Assist with nursing shift duties, including taking vital signs, conducting drug screens, medication management, charting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with medical and clinical teams to coordinate care.
• Manage, order, and restock medical supplies as necessary.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange post-discharge aftercare providers.
• Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
