About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Certified Medication Technicians for its Eastern Shore location. The role provides timely medical care to help stabilize clients and support their participation in treatment. The CMT assists with nursing shift duties, coordinates care with medical and clinical teams, manages medical supplies, schedules appointments and aftercare, and supports pharmacy and prescription authorization needs.

The position is based at Avenues Recovery Center at Eastern Shore, a 100-bed residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility on a newly renovated campus. The center provides inpatient rehabilitation services and has a multidisciplinary staff that includes therapists, clinicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, addiction counselors, and behavioral health technicians.

Part-time and full-time positions are available for evening and overnight shifts.

Requirements

• CPR certification is required.
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in Maryland.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of substance use and its biopsychosocial consequences.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment.
• Assist with nursing shift duties, including taking vitals, conducting drug screens, managing medications, charting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with medical and clinical teams to coordinate care.
• Manage, order, and restock medical supplies as necessary.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for clients after discharge.
• Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
