About The Position
MedLink Georgia is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to support healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The role is based in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and requires comfort using a third-party language line for some communications. The Medical Assistant assists with examinations and procedures, patient records, medications, laboratory tasks, patient education, scheduling, and maintaining the clinical environment.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills.
- Comfort using a third-party language line for some communication.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records using eClinicalWorks.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
- Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
