About The Position

VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in Correctional Health Care, has openings for Certified Medical Assistants at Outagamie County Jail in Appleton, Wisconsin. The CMA delivers quality care consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state. The CMA assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered during work hours and works to ensure a safe environment for themselves, the patient, and other staff members. Requirements

• Must possess a current and valid CMA certificate.
• Drug Screen and Background Check Required

• Experience in Correctional or behavioral desired but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered during work hours.
• Ensure a safe environment for themselves, the patient, and other staff members.
• Work in accordance with local practice acts and regulations.
• Function to other competent nursing personnel appropriate to their scope of practice.
