About The Position

Ascension Destin Medical Clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a Multi Provider specialty. This full-time, day shift role involves assisting with patient examinations and treatments under the direction of a provider. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording patient information, listing diagnoses and symptoms, transcribing provider orders for tests and medications, and following up on instructions and prescriptions.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
At least one year of experience in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group setting.
Demonstrated experience with patient rooming procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).
Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.
Transcribe patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.
