About The Position
Highpoint Health Sumner is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for its Pain Clinic. The role supports patient care through assessments and treatments, basic diagnostic procedures, specimen collection, monitoring and communicating changes in patient condition, and documenting care. The Certified Medical Assistant also maintains equipment and medical supplies and performs administrative or clerical duties as needed. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of medical office experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with performing patient assessments and treatments.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Document patient care given.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned or needed.
