Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Pain Clinic
About The Position
Highpoint Health Sumner is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support care in its Pain Clinic. The role contributes to the organization’s mission of making communities healthier by assisting with patient assessments and treatments, carrying out basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, monitoring and communicating changes in patient condition, and documenting care. The position also maintains medical equipment and supplies and performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Highpoint Health Sumner is a 167-bed healthcare facility serving Middle Tennessee and is part of Lifepoint Health’s community-based care network.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with performing patient assessments and treatments.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and collect specimens.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Document patient care provided.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned or needed.
