About The Position

HV Pediatrics is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a PT role. This position may require working in other HVP locations as needed for staffing (Chippewa/Hopewell/Center-Monaca).
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
- CPR Certification
- Computer experience
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
- Minimum of one year medical assisting experience
Responsibilities
- Collects vital signs and patient history
- Collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests
- Administers injections and medications as directed by provider
- Performs other clinical tasks
- Orders supplies
- Updates/maintains medical records
- Obtains referrals/authorizations
- Schedules appointments
