About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), also referred to as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), to support clinical and administrative tasks. The role includes taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments. Medical Assistants work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment to help deliver patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant school or vocational training.
- At least one year of work experience in a public-contact job.
- Medical Assistant certification.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain it as current.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in health care is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
- Assist providers with routine clinical procedures, treatments, and patient care needs.
- Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy.
- Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories.
- Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
