About The Position

Athens Orthopedic Clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinic coverage at their locations in Loganville, Madison, and Monroe. The CMA is responsible for age-appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned patients, ensuring safe, economical, and efficient care delivery in accordance with AOC's policies, procedures, values, and mission statement. Clinical staff are tasked with assessing patient needs, adhering to established standards of care, and managing personnel, equipment, and supplies while fostering teamwork among patients, families, and physicians.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant Program.
• Current and appropriate certification from the certification authority.
• Minimal of two (2) years’ experience in a clinical staff role.
• Current BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinic coverage at practice locations.
• Responsible for age-appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned patients.
• Assure that planned care is delivered in a safe, economical and efficient manner following AOC’s policies and procedures, values and mission statement.
• Assess patients' needs in compliance with established standards of care and practice and all regulatory, accrediting and legal requirements.
• Responsible for all assigned personnel, equipment and supplies.
• Promote teamwork among patients, families, and physicians.
