About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will join the Employee Health team at Harris Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health. This role is vital to the employee experience, assisting with onboarding new hires and supporting existing employees with care, guidance, and resources to maintain a healthy, safe, and engaged workforce. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships and supporting others behind the scenes to make a real difference in the employee experience.

Requirements

  • Current state certification as a certified or registered medical assistant.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical office experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of a provider, assist with performing patient assessments and treatments.
  • Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Monitor and communicate regarding changes in patient condition.
  • Document patient care provided.
  • Maintain examination areas.
  • Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Complete other tasks, within the scope of the position, as delegated by practice leads, supervisors, managers, or Market Director.
