This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant who will actively participate as an integral and valued member of the Patient Care Team. The Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing for patient visits, maintaining exam rooms, welcoming patients, performing administrative and clinical data entry, assisting patients with understanding health benefits, aiding in patient discharge, managing patient flow and experience, and collaborating with the Care Team to optimize the patient schedule and meet patient needs. The position also involves assisting medical providers with exams and procedures, performing in-house lab tests, vision and hearing tests, EKGs, immunizations, and other requested activities. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will run population data queries, clean and sterilize equipment, participate in patient engagement and quality improvement activities, and may assist with medical translation. Specific Lab Technician duties include performing blood draws, managing specimen information, communicating with vendors, ensuring accurate coding, calculating charges, maintaining lab equipment, and tracking lab requisitions.
