About The Position

This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant in the Endocrinology department at St. Vincent Medical Group in Carmel, IN. The position is full-time, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The Medical Assistant will provide direct patient support, assist providers with examinations, measure vital signs, and execute ordered treatments and procedures. They will also be responsible for preparing treatment rooms, maintaining a clean environment, and managing basic materials ordering and stocking. Key duties include interviewing patients for medical history, charting information, and transcribing provider orders for tests and medications. Additionally, the role involves front-office management, including answering calls and maintaining patient records.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • CMA with at least one year's experience
  • Office setting experience with endocrinology
  • Experience with diabetes management in a medical or family practice office

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers with patient examinations, measure vital signs, and execute ordered treatments and procedures under supervision.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, maintain a clean environment, and manage basic materials ordering and stocking to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Interview patients for medical history, accurately chart all information, and precisely transcribe provider orders for lab tests, radiology, and medications.
  • Handle critical clerical duties, including answering calls and maintaining organized patient records to support a seamless practice flow.
