About The Position

This isn’t just another MA position. At DGD, you’ll have the opportunity to build specialized clinical knowledge, work alongside experienced physicians and advanced practice providers, and play an important role in the care of patients managing complex and chronic endocrine conditions. As a CMA at DGD, you’ll be an essential part of the patient care team. Depending on assignment and clinical needs, responsibilities may include: Preparing and rooming patients for provider visits Obtaining and accurately documenting vital signs, medication histories, allergies, and relevant patient information Reviewing and updating patient charts and clinical information in the electronic health record Assisting physicians and advanced practice providers with efficient patient flow and clinical support Preparing exam rooms and ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are available Supporting medication refill workflows and provider-directed clinical tasks Communicating with patients regarding provider instructions, follow-up needs, and care coordination within scope Assisting with injections, point-of-care testing, and other clinical procedures based on training, competency, certification, and assigned responsibilities Maintaining accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation Following infection-control, patient-safety, HIPAA, and established clinical protocols Working collaboratively with providers, nurse practitioners, fellow CMAs, and other departments to deliver exceptional patient experience.

Requirements

  • Current Medical Assistant certification
  • Strong clinical and patient-care skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical office or Endocrinology care experience
  • Experience in endocrinology, diabetes care, specialty medicine, primary care, internal medicine, or a high-volume physician practice is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and rooming patients for provider visits
