About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant or LPN supports clinical care at RHC Abbeville. The role is full-time, first shift, with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A high school diploma or GED and successful completion of at least one of the listed qualifying medical assisting education or training programs are required. Candidates must obtain the required certification within three months of hire and maintain active certification or registry in medical assisting.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Successful completion of at least one of the following: a medical assisting education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; a Career and Technical Education Health Sciences Program approved by the South Carolina Department of Education; a medical assisting program provided by a branch of the U.S. military; a U.S. Department of Labor-approved Registered Apprenticeship program in medical assisting; or a training program delivered in whole or in part by a health care employer that aligns to a nationally accredited certification exam. The employer-delivered program must be completed within the 90-day probationary period.
• Post-high-school/medical studies and certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMMA) are required.
• Must obtain certification within three months of hire.
• Must hold and maintain active certification or registry in medical assisting.
