About The Position

Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is seeking a Certified Med Tech to support residents in an assisted living community. Under the supervision of an RN, the role administers or assists with self-administration of prescribed medication, provides care in accordance with resident care plans, and maintains accurate medical records and documentation. The associate is expected to protect residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity and comply with applicable regulations and community policies. This is a per diem position paying $24.00–$26.00 per hour. Per diem benefits include a flexible schedule, on-the-job training, and free parking.

Requirements

Current New Jersey Medication Aid Certification.
New Jersey CNA or HHA Certification.
At least six months of experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, a hospital, or a long-term care environment.
Able to work weekends.
Ability to perform the physical activities described, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and intermittent lifting and supporting of residents; must use proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to residents and maintain related medical records under RN supervision.
Complete required annual medication training in accordance with state requirements.
Provide resident care to ensure needs are met according to each resident’s care plan.
Maintain accurate and complete medical records and written documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, and legal and ethical standards.
Maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity when delivering services.
Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
