This position is responsible for adhering to safety standards, identifying, responding to, and reporting malfunctions and alarms. The role involves performing efficacy and quality testing for all processes and equipment, including manual and mechanical cleaning according to manufacturer's IFU for various types of instrumentation. The technician will also perform flexible scope processing utilizing High Level Disinfection (HLD), determine and prepare necessary supplies for assembly, and inspect, assemble, and package instrumentation following standards. A key responsibility includes ensuring the functionality, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of sterilization equipment, with verification and documentation of the sterilization process. This includes performing high temperature (steam) and low temperature (gas plasma, ethylene oxide, liquid chemical) sterilization.
