About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care’s ACSP Division is hiring Home Health Aides (HHAs/CHHAs) to serve clients in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Cumberland, and Salem Counties. The role provides compassionate, one-on-one care in clients’ homes, following a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse. Training and assistance with the New Jersey Board of Nursing CHHA application process are available for qualified candidates. Training classes are offered month to month for $250, all-inclusive. Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome. Virtual and in-person interviews are available.
Requirements
- Be compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful.
- Be passionate about helping others and committed to providing quality care.
- Be able to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
- Be comfortable working independently with clients.
- Experienced HHA/CHHA applicants must have a current CHHA/HHA credential in good standing with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Previous caregiving or home health experience when required for the position.
Nice To Haves
- Previous home health care or patient care experience is welcome but is not always required.
- Training may be available for qualified candidates.
- Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one care according to a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and other household tasks.
- Assist with ambulation and transfers.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises.
- Check vital signs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help clients maintain independence in their homes.
