About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care’s ACSP Division is hiring Home Health Aides (HHAs/CHHAs) to provide compassionate, one-on-one care to clients in their homes across Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Cumberland, and Salem Counties. Care is provided according to a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse. The role is suited to dependable caregivers who help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Training may be available for qualified candidates, and BAYADA offers assistance with the New Jersey Board of Nursing CHHA application process. The position offers day, evening, and weekend shift opportunities, with flexible scheduling and efforts to match caregivers with clients near their homes. Virtual and in-person interviews are available.
Requirements
- For experienced HHA/CHHA candidates, hold a current CHHA/HHA credential in good standing with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Be able to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
- Be comfortable working independently with clients.
- Demonstrate compassion, patience, dependability, and respect.
- Be committed to providing quality care and passionate about helping others.
- Previous caregiving or home health experience when required for the position.
Nice To Haves
- Previous home health care or patient care experience; it is welcome but not always required.
- Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome.
- Training may be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Provide care based on a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help clients with dressing and personal hygiene.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Make beds and perform other household tasks.
- Assist clients with ambulation and transfers.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises.
- Check vital signs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help clients maintain their independence at home.
