About The Position
CareOne is hiring Certified Home Health Aides at Harmony Village at Hanover Township in Whippany, New Jersey. Full-time, part-time, and per-diem opportunities are available across multiple shifts. The salary range is $16.00–$25.00. The CHHA provides or assists residents and patients with activities of daily living and personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, prescribed exercises, and medication reminders. The aide obtains basic vital signs under the Hospice Nurse’s supervision, reports and documents changes in condition, and must be willing to travel using reliable transportation. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- State-certified CHHA license.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospice or home health is preferred.
- No experience is necessary; one year of experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide or assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin, and nail care.
- Assist with toileting, positioning, transfers, and frequent turning and positioning of bed-bound residents or patients.
- Assist with prescribed exercise and range-of-motion activities taught by the Hospice Nurse.
- Perform light housekeeping in the individual’s personal unit or room, including changing bed linens as needed and doing patient laundry.
- Feed and assist residents or patients with meals.
- Obtain temperature, pulse, and respirations under the supervision of the Hospice Nurse.
- Report changes in a resident’s or patient’s condition to the Hospice Nurse and, in a facility, to the facility nurse; document the information, report date and time, and recipient on the Home Health Aide Certification of House form.
- Assist or remind patients to take medication in compliance with applicable regulatory and accrediting requirements.
