About The Position

Dharma Home Care is building a pool of compassionate Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) who provide exceptional, client-centered care. The role involves supporting clients with personal care and daily living activities while helping them maintain independence, safety, and well-being. Caregivers follow individualized care plans, complete required documentation, and communicate with clients, families, and agency staff. Hourly cases are available across New Jersey, subject to availability, and schedules may be full-time, part-time, or per diem, depending on shift availability. Compensation is $19.50–$21.00 per hour. The agency offers paid orientation, ongoing training, RN mentorship, and opportunities to advance from CHHA to Mentor Caregiver, Care Coordinator, and office leadership.

Requirements

• Hold an active New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license in good standing.
• Be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
• Provide at least two verifiable professional references.
• Provide verifiable employment history for the past 12 months.
• Successfully pass a national criminal background check and any additional screenings required by the State of New Jersey.
• Provide proof of a valid physical examination within the last year.
• Provide proof of a negative TB test or chest X-ray.
• Provide proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care and assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Support client independence while ensuring safety and well-being.
• Follow individualized care plans and document as required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and Dharma Home Care staff.
