Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certificate (required) within 3 months of hire.
- Current BLS certification.
- Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret medical data and professional journals.
- Ability to understand and use electronic medical record software.
- Ability to listen and understand patient questions and communicate complex information accurately and understandably.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- One-year prior medical assisting preferred.
- Additional languages preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with various office procedures.
- Enhance patient communication.
- Manage essential paperwork.
- Assist in the planning and evaluation of nursing care.
- Prepare patients for minor surgical procedures.
- Take vital signs.
- Maintain an organized inventory of medical supplies.
- Perform lab tests and x-rays within CCMA credentials.
