Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certificate (required) within 3 months of hire.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret medical data and professional journals.
  • Ability to understand and use electronic medical record software.
  • Ability to listen and understand patient questions and communicate complex information accurately and understandably.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year prior medical assisting preferred.
  • Additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with various office procedures.
  • Enhance patient communication.
  • Manage essential paperwork.
  • Assist in the planning and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Prepare patients for minor surgical procedures.
  • Take vital signs.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of medical supplies.
  • Perform lab tests and x-rays within CCMA credentials.
