About The Position

The Certified Central Sterile Technician will perform their duties within the Instrument Room areas, including the decontamination, preparation, and sterile processing of surgical instruments and supplies for patient use in accordance with Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a nationally accredited central service exam for Central Service Technicians.
• Holds and maintains Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) credentials administered by a nationally accredited central service technician credentialing organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties within the Instrument Room areas.
• Decontaminate, prepare, and sterile process surgical instruments and supplies for patient use.
• Adhere to Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures.
