About The Position

Solterra Senior Living at Chandler is seeking Certified Caregivers to assist residents in the Assisted Living Program and Memory Care with activities of daily living, helping them maintain quality of life and dignity. The position offers full-time schedules from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, or 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. Applicants must hold a caregiver certification through an Arizona NCIA board-approved caregiver training course or be willing to obtain one within 90 days of hire.

Requirements

Caregiver certification through an Arizona NCIA board-approved caregiver training course, or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a related field is highly preferred.
Previous experience in a Senior Living Community is preferred.

Responsibilities

Take and record vital signs.
Measure and record residents’ height and weight.
Calculate and record fluid intake and output.
Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report them to a supervisor.
Assist residents as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Transfer, position, and turn residents.
Provide skin care.
Contribute to resident assessments and plans of care.
Provide nursing rehabilitation and restorative nursing services.
Care for residents with dementia.
Follow the schedule of residents’ needs set out by a supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Promote and protect resident rights, support informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid physical restraints in accordance with current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
