About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking an engaging and enthusiastic PRN Injury Prevention Specialist / Athletic Trainer to support a fast-paced airport hub at Salt Lake City International Airport. The role integrates ergonomics, employee education and coaching, preventive exercise programs, early intervention strategies, and health and wellness services to reduce workplace injuries and enhance employee well-being. Coverage needs will be paired with the candidate’s availability to create a suitable schedule.

The position is based at Salt Lake City International Airport in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is PRN, as needed, with weekend shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., flexibility for weekday shifts, and potential holiday coverage. Schedules are subject to change. Compensation is $35.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training.
• National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA-BOC) certification.
• Applicable state license where required.
• At least one year of experience as an Athletic Trainer.
• CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Athletic Training.
• Industrial Health experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and deliver employee education and perform audits.
• Conduct movement assessments and develop preventive exercise programs.
• Engage new-hire employees in education, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Deliver a return-to-work program for employees returning from injury.
• Provide early symptom intervention (ESI) care for employees.
• Provide health and wellness coaching on a wide range of topics.
