Certified Athletic Trainer -Injury Prevention Specialist - PRN
About The Position
SacoBay is seeking a PRN Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)/Injury Prevention Specialist to provide care for local athletes and deliver injury prevention services at multiple sites throughout the Portsmouth, New Hampshire region. The role provides on-site coverage for an industrial client and delivers a full continuum of injury prevention services at assigned locations. The position is open to an exercise physiologist, PTA, or clinician with an exercise science background. The schedule varies as needed. Compensation starts at $35 per hour and is commensurate with experience. The role offers exposure to varied team sizes, patient populations, and specialties.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree required.
- Minimum of one year of experience.
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in an industrial setting is a plus.
- Exercise physiologist, PTA, or clinician with an exercise science background.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site coverage for an industrial client under the direction of the Account/Program Manager.
- Assess, triage, and apply first aid for workplace injuries or discomfort.
- Conduct ergonomic risk assessments and implement ergonomic solutions.
- Design and implement functional assessments, preventative exercise, and stretching.
- Provide job coaching and behavior modification in individual and group settings.
- Provide education and training on a wide range of injury prevention topics, including office ergonomics.
- Provide health and wellness consultation.
- Document and report employee encounters.
- Communicate regularly with the client and Select leadership.
