About The Position
Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for athletes at contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care. This position supports the Tampa, Florida market. It is a per diem/PRN role with hours that vary as needed. Compensation starts at $35 per hour and is commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.
- National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATA-BOC) certification.
- CPR certification.
- Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement therapeutic rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
- Determine and administer appropriate athletic training techniques before and during games and practices to reduce injury risk, including taping, wrapping, bracing, hydration guidance, and minor wound care.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of athletic training and rehabilitation techniques, and document changes based on the athlete’s response within the specified plan of care.
- Manage emergency incidents and coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to reduce the impact of injuries on athletes’ function.
- Seek outreach opportunities and participate in promotional events such as races and club-team events.
