About The Position
NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to provide care for athletes at contracted schools and/or professional teams and coordinate access to additional health care. This position supports Linden High School, Fenton High School, Lake Fenton High School, and Holly High School in the greater Fenton, Michigan area. The role is per diem/PRN, with hours varying as needed, and compensation of $35 per hour. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification.
- CPR certification.
- Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
- Determine and administer appropriate athletic training techniques before and during games and practices to reduce injury risk, including taping, wrapping, bracing, hydration, and minor wound care.
- Assess the effectiveness of athletic training and rehabilitation techniques and record changes based on athlete responses within the specified plan of care.
- Manage emergency incidents and coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to reduce the impact of injuries on athletes’ function.
- Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company, such as races and club team events.
