About The Position
The Ceramic Blender produces core and shell material for the casting process by operating various blending equipment. This is a night-shift position at the Sanford, North Carolina plant, Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A shift differential is provided in addition to hourly base compensation.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Good reading, math, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Proficiency in safe forklift operation.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work daily and weekend overtime.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Team player with good attendance.
Nice To Haves
- Previous forklift experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Precisely weigh, blend, and pack ceramic mix according to Engineering procedures and formulation instructions.
- Process, blend, and sample ceramic and other materials according to blending instructions and Engineering procedures.
- Work in other areas of the ceramic blending operation as assigned.
- Maintain housekeeping in assigned work areas.
- Move materials and manage warehouse locations using the computerized inventory and production system.
