About The Position

Helio Health is seeking a Centralized Scheduler to support its mission of treating and promoting recovery from substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. The position is full-time and based at Helio Health’s Syracuse OTP. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Compensation is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour. Full-time hires are eligible for a sign-on incentive of up to $1,500.00.

The Centralized Scheduler greets patients professionally in person and by phone, schedules individual and medical sessions, maintains clinical and medical staff “will call” and “back-fill” lists, confirms appointment status updates, and performs quality assurance activities. The role may also participate in program administrative and clinical committees and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate degree is preferred.
• One year of employment experience in the Medical Records or Human Services field.
• An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
• Knowledge and understanding of federal confidentiality laws relating to populations served.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Sound judgment and cultural competency.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.
• Ability to perform duties independently.

Responsibilities
