About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time Centralized Scheduler in Dallas, Texas. This is an in-office position and is not remote. The schedule varies Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with 8-hour shifts. Compensation depends on the candidate’s years of experience and internal equity; the minimum starting salary is $19–$25 per hour based on experience.

The centralized scheduling department handles scheduling referrals for more than 100 BSWIR outpatient clinics. The role involves managing a high volume of calls, processing referrals, and coordinating with clinics, provider sources, patients, and other parties. The team consists of 15 schedulers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate and relate ideas effectively with staff members, supportive personnel, management staff, third-party payers, patients, and physicians.
• Strong computer equipment and software skills.
• Detailed documentation skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual ability preferred.
• Courses in bookkeeping and accounting, or work experience in a healthcare or related setting.
• One to two years of medical billing and administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule referrals for BSWIR outpatient clinics.
• Answer incoming rollover calls from clinics.
• Call referrals received from provider sources.
• Handle high call volumes and return patient voicemails.
• Use EPIC, Therapy Source, and other sites to obtain and call referrals.
