About The Position

The Staffing Clerk assigns a variety of patient care resources to patient care units across Trinity Health campuses in Ann Arbor, Livingston, Livonia, Chelsea, and Brighton, as well as Emergency Services and Surgical Services. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of unit, departmental, and organizational policies to guide appropriate placement of resources. The Staffing Clerk collaborates with nursing and unit-based leadership as resources move throughout the organization.

The Nursing Resource Pool offers increased scheduling flexibility, with floating limited to Trinity Health Ann Arbor. Employees receive focused orientation and training on equipment, processes, and procedures. The position is part time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with staffing procedures, usually gained through two or more years of staffing experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with at least one word-processing package and one spreadsheet package.
• Telephone skills and ability to operate office equipment, including personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and printers.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment to set work priorities.
• Organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changes and interruptions.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a wide range of staff.

• Additional formal clerical and computer training is desirable.
