Central Fill Pharmacy Assistant
About The Position
London Drugs is seeking innovative, customer-focused individuals to join their team as a Central Fill Pharmacy Assistant. This role is part-time and located at their Head Office in Richmond, BC. The position offers a community-oriented working environment that fosters professional excellence, providing the tools and opportunity to practice in a well-designed pharmacy to optimize patient care. The role involves assisting pharmacists and the Pharmacy Manager with daily operations, including technical preparation of prescription products, operating automated pharmacy machines, shipping prepared prescription products, and receiving/organizing pharmacy stock.
Requirements
- Possess strong technical knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Maintain a professional image, reflecting positively on the company
- Highly organized and able to multitask effectively and work under changing priorities
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, within a team environment
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Kroll pharmacy software
- Ability to isolate and solve problems
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with computer and technology
- Previous experience in pharmacy or health care field is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations
- Technical preparations of prescription products
- Operation of automated pharmacy machines
- Shipping prepared prescription products
- Receiving and organizing pharmacy stock
- Communication via telephone with patients and multiple London Drugs’ stores
- Meet production deadlines for prescription orders and delivery cut-offs
- Operation of the prescription computer
- General housekeeping duties
