About The Position

The Central Dispatcher schedules, coordinates, dispatches, and monitors Badger units within a defined region, following national processes and procedures. The role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends. Compensation is commensurate with education and/or experience.

The dispatcher manages the dispatch calendar and daily dispatch activities, including truck availability and time approval by the Branch Manager and dispatching the closest trucks. The role also converts opportunities to sales requests and confirms them with the appropriate owner, and answers the central dispatch phone line and processes requests from existing standard customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of dispatch experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.
• Excellent clerical and organizational skills to track schedules, routes, and personnel.
• Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties.
• Ability to multitask amid different and sometimes conflicting events.
• Ability to work under stress and remain calm, and to calm others during rapidly changing circumstances.
• Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Oracle Field Operations module is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the dispatch calendar, including Google Calendar.
• Manage daily dispatch activities, including availability and time approval by the Branch Manager and dispatching the closest trucks.
• Convert opportunities to sales requests and confirm them with the Outside Sales Representative, General Manager, or Branch Manager.
• Answer the central dispatch phone line in a timely and professional manner.
• Process requests from existing standard customers.
