About The Position

The Center Cook prepares healthy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks at a child care center. The role supports children’s nutrition and food safety and includes keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly. Cooks may also choose to spend time in the classroom, supporting teachers and participating in classroom activities; this is optional and not required. The position is full-time, with no evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of food preparation experience.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification.
• Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) experience.
