About The Position

The UBIF Technician - Google performs device diagnostics, component- level repairs, and customer support for Google-branded hardware. This role focuses on safe, consistent service procedures, accurate documentation, and maintaining quality standards. Technicians troubleshoot issues, replace parts, and verify functionality while protecting customer data and following store workflow. Success requires precise workmanship, clear communication, and adherence to repair policies, ESD practices, and inventory controls. The technician collaborates with teammates to meet turnaround targets and deliver a reliable experience to customers across varied repair scenarios.

Requirements

• Smartphone and tablet repair proficiency.
• ESD-safe handling and workstation setup.
• Micro-soldering or fine assembly skills.
• Diagnostic software and test procedures.
• Battery, display, and camera replacement.
• Firmware update and reset processes.
• Clear, professional customer communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem-solving under time constraints.
• Team collaboration and reliability.
• Accountability for results and safety.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience repairing consumer electronics.
• Record of consistent quality outcomes.

• ESD awareness training completed.
