About The Position

The CEI Project Administrator will assist the Project Administrator in the administration of FDOT transportation construction projects. This role supports the coordination of construction activities between field staff, contractors, consultants, and FDOT personnel. The position involves assisting with project documentation, construction records, and contract administration, as well as supporting the preparation of progress and final estimates. Key duties include monitoring project documentation for completeness and accuracy, maintaining organized project files, and assisting with reporting requirements. Effective communication with project team members, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders is essential. Additional project-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of engineering experience on relevant transportation projects; or Six (6) years of responsible roadway, bridge, CEI, or related construction experience, including at least two (2) years on transportation construction projects.
  • FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) (Candidates currently holding FDOT Intermediate MOT may obtain Advanced MOT within six (6) months).
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and assist with project administration throughout the construction process.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of FDOT construction procedures and documentation is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software is a plus.
