About The Position

The Costco Digital Services Division is inviting students enrolled in an IT or related undergraduate or graduate program to participate in a paid, 12-week internship during 2027. The program runs from mid-June to early September and is based in Issaquah, Washington. Interns are required to work in the office five days a week; out-of-state work is not allowed. Interns are responsible for their own travel and accommodation, and housing is not provided. Interns attend presentations by executive management and, at the end of the program, create and present a summary of their experience to management and peers. As a Quality Engineering Intern on the Global People Systems Enhancement & Optimization Team, you will learn how enterprise HR applications are tested, validated, and improved. You will work with product owners and engineers to understand functional requirements and help create and execute manual test cases. You will also gain exposure to automation tools, cloud-native platforms, and test management systems such as Octane. The role includes running tests, recording results, documenting findings, creating actionable bug reports, reviewing logs, and investigating unexpected outcomes to learn how test failures are analyzed and resolved. The internship is classified as hourly temporary employment for its duration. Interns may be asked to participate in the normal interview process for a level 1 position. If not selected for a regular position, the internship ends after a maximum of 12 weeks.
