Intern - Store Optimization
About The Position
The Store Optimization Intern will participate in Michaels’ Summer Internship Program, running May 31 through August 5, 2027. The program is designed to attract and develop future leaders and is intended for people currently enrolled at an accredited college or university who are pursuing career opportunities in retail. The intern will be assigned to a team and gain hands-on experience with core responsibilities, relevant projects, and professional development opportunities. The role is based at the Support Center in Irving. Michaels is a North American destination for creativity and celebration, operating more than 1,300 stores in 49 states and Canada, along with online stores. The company also owns Artistree, which manufactures custom and specialty framing merchandise.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, creativity, and ability to work as a team player.
- Eager to learn and grow.
- Demonstrated desire to support and understand store operations.
- Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy applicable federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
